What is a Par Value?
When the bond reaches maturity the bondholder is awarded the bond's par value. The alternative names that are commonly used are face value and principal value. For example, if the par value of a bond is $2,000, then when the bond reaches maturity its holder will receive $2,000.
To be a successful investor you'll need the right trading platform. A professional-grade, award-winning platform that offers low cost trades like OptionHouse.
The low cost trades will allow you to preserve more of your wealth and save money, which you can reinvest instead of paying brokerage commissions.
